My recent experience at Lakeview Chaska was not a good one. Had been experiencing an ongoing deep cough for about 2 weeks. Asked the doctor for the same antibiotic I had in Nov for a similar cough that knocked it right out. She said she would not give me an antibiotic. She said, “This isn’t a fast food service where you just come in and order what you want.” I was shocked at her un-professionalism! I left and told her how disappointed I was with her. I am still sick, still coughing. She prescribed me some little droplets to take for the cough. I never bothered to pick them up. I need something strong to get rid of this!
One doc at Waconia told me it’s not his job to figure out what was wrong with patients so they feel better. Chaska lost blood for a test still charged insurance for something that wasn’t done. Another Chaska doc ignored symptoms and test results that pointed to an infection went to another clinic who diagnosed and treated…I was told my symptoms and test results were normal…lazy doctors are the problem with our medical field.

Provider took the time to answer all of my questions. Provider was professional and kind. I truly appreciate them.
I appreciate that I’ve always been able to get an appointment for acute illnesses, but I’m frustrated that I can’t get support for my overall wellness. I’ve seen multiple doctors for back pain over the last year and can never see the same doctor twice. Most recently I was called after my appointment and they told me my lab sample required further testing and I would get results in 1 to 3 days. Four working days later, I messaged through the portal to ask for an update and was told my sample didn’t need further testing and it was a computer glitch that said it needed further testing. My labs keep showing things out of range but no one does anything and just says the labs are super sensitive, don’t worry.
The whole experience has been, frustrating, expensive, and time consuming.
If you're running behind on an appointment, they'll cancel it on you without even calling. But we can sit and wait in their waiting rooms for 30+ min after appointment times. Do better.
It was confronted that my message re:med changes were noted on my file weeks before my appointment. Howeever it was not updated when I met with the nurse
While waiting in the lobby, a nurse or staff came out and talked to a patient about her medical issues in front of everybody. HIPPA violations. Very awkward.
